I Used to Be Where You Are Right Now!

When I started working in financial services in 1985, sales was very hard work. Ok, I will admit that I was pretty good at prospecting. But the problem was I wasn't making any money. For one thing, I never figured out how to close the sale and I was completely bogged down in paperwork--not my strong suit. As a result, I probably didn't close more than 30% of all the business that met with me across the desk.

I found that I spent an enormous amount of time filling out forms, reviewing investments and doing service work. Tedious tasks that left me so drained, I couldn't do what I needed to make more money: meet with clients.

It was a sad day when I discovered that I was working 7 days a week, not spending any time with my family, and had nothing to show for it. Feeling like a total failure at being a financial advisor, I left day-to-day production and went to work as legal counsel for one of the industry's largest mutual fund groups. After a few years I left that position and began speaking to the industry on the legal and ethical issues facing financial advisors.

I found it was a lot more fun and less stressful to get on a platform and talk to financial advisors than actually sit in front of investors. The reason was that selling financial services day-to-day is very hard work when you don't have a proven system of success--and I was living proof.

About 9 years ago our lives changed dramatically when Peter and I started working together. Peter, even if he is my husband, is by far the best business consultant I have ever met. I have never yet seen a business he couldn't make better. Let me give you just two examples.

One of our first clients was a $1.7 annual producer at an insurance broker/dealer. (We will call him George to protect his privacy.) The problem? It wasn't enough! George was tired, overworked and wanted to make more with less effort. Peter comes on board as George's coach and mentor. Here are the results:
  • In 90 days, Peter gets an extra $250,000 to George's bottom line,
  • puts $100,000 in George's pocket and
  • pays for Peter's services for an entire year
  • Within 3 years, George is making $8 million per year!

A few years later we were approached by a large planning firm (We will call them South East Planners to protect their privacy.). They needed to get their valuation up. In a little over a year:

  • Peter got their valuation from $6 million to $15 million!

You see, there are proven systems and strategies that, when properly aligned, followed and implemented, will bring you an easy, successful, fun business with income you have only imagined! We call this the No-Sell Sale

Peter and I have been blessed to work with dozens of superstars that make a million dollars or more per year. We were fortunate to take those already successful people and add the things that we had learned over the years to help them double, triple or quadruple their income.

After working with the superstars, we tested our own system, the No-Sell Sale System™ that when followed carefully produces an easy, effortless sale. This is much different than my selling in 1985.

The question was, sure this information worked great for multimillion dollar advisors, but would it work for new advisors with no income? Or experienced advisors who were making $200K to $500K and wanted to improve their income, too?

To test the system out, I actually dusted off my Series 7 and worked face to face with investors for a few months. Yes, at first I was scared because I remembered how hard sales had been 20 years ago. But I hung in there and just let the system work for me. I didn't try to explain it and I didn't try to change it. I just stuck with the system.

The Results: The system worked beyond my wildest expectations. In fact I was able to close over 90% of all my sales with our system! I began to feel guilty because what had once been such hard work, was now so easy.

Now I would like to tell you we created the No-Sell System™, but actually we identified success secrets after working with dozens and dozens of multimillion dollar advisors; we then modified it, refined it and tested it to make sure it worked even better.

Once we had the system refined, we took it to a large broker/dealer--they too got the same results. We found you didn't have to be a million dollar advisor to make this system work.

You just had to do one thing----STICK TO THE SYSTEM!!!!!

Today we have used the system with dozens of financial advisors of all sizes to double or triple their income. Even advisors who only used part of the system added $100,000 to their bottom line.
